Paul Schmokel is Research and Development Manager at Arobella Medical, LLC, responsible for development and testing of all its various technologies.
Before coming to Arobella, Paul worked for over ten years in the aerospace industry at Goodrich Corporation. While there he developed and certified a wide variety of stall protection systems for regional size aircrafts like the Embraer EMB145, Bombardier Global Express, and Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) Galaxy aircraft. In 1998, Paul joined a technology transition team to transfer a newly acquired laser ice detection products, patents and technologies under the Goodrich umbrella. Following successful transition, Paul became fully responsible this new technology, now called the IceHawk® product technologies, managing a group of 15 people with responsibilities ranging from design, manufacturing, sales and field support.
Paul has also spent time in the Telecommunications market segment. Working for ADC telecommunications, Paul developed a wide variety of Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) splitters for both POTs and ISDN phone systems. Traveling worldwide, Paul also represented ADC in a variety of telecommunication standards development committees.
Born in Prior Lake, Minnesota, Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from North Dakota State University.
Paul enjoys waterskiing, woodworking, downhill skiing and gardening.
